This Thanksgiving season
is the ideal time for those who want to
support the groundbreaking progress of the
premier national CFS organization, the CFIDS
ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA, to make a donation.
Now that they have reached their historic
goal of raising $1 Million for their
Research Campaign (see below), it is even
more important that their organization has
our continued support to leverage those
funds to the fullest. Their efforts are
generating excitement about potential
breakthroughs in diagnosis and treatment.
Also, their outstanding advocacy work will
be even more vital in bringing new
developments to the national forefront.
Toward that end the OFFER Board of Directors
has approved a $5000 contribution to the
general fund of the CFIDS ASSOCIATION OF
AMERICA. Please join OFFER in giving to
this premier national CFS organization at
this time of thanksgiving. If just half of
our readers gave $10 it would do a great
deal to serve the cause of CFS. To make an

MEETING VIDEOS IS NOW ACCESSIBLE FOR FREE!
OFFER has begun to make archived OFFER EDUCATION
MEETING videos available on the OFFER website,
www.offerutah.org. We have started with
four classic meetings from 2006. You can view
these videos at no charge as often as you like
and at your own pace. Go to
www.offerutah.org, click on the EDUCATION
MEETINGS button, scroll down to the bottom of
the page and click on: "To view some of
our previously recorded Education Meetings,
click here". To go there right now
just click on the following link:
http://www.offerutah.org/Offeredseminars.htm.
If the response to this service is good, we plan
to keep adding archived videos and to make
current meetings available as well. If you like
this feature, you can let OFFER know through the
"CONTACT US" button on the OFFER website. If
you find these videos to be helpful, a donation
to OFFER would also encourage and support our
continuing efforts to educate patients,
healthcare providers, third party claim payers,
and the general public about chronic fatigue
syndrome and fibromyalgia.
The 2007 Provider's and Patient's
Conferences should be posted to the Internet by
the end of October. The content will be free of
charge with links to the content from the
website. Also, we are working on previous
Education Meeting videos and hope to add some of
them within the next month.

A New Study for Fibromyalgia
Patients
Dr.
Lucinda Bateman is actively seeking
Fibromyalgia patients, ages 18-70, to
participate in clinical research studies
of three investigational drugs for the
treatment of Fibromyalgia. If you are
interested, call Dr. Bateman’s office
(801-359-7400) and talk to Ali Allen,
RN, research coordinator, or others on
the research team, to learn more about
the drug studies currently underway.
Qualified participants receive
study-related physician visits, lab
evaluations, and the investigational
medication at no cost.

those who want to share their journey with
others who are living with CFS and/or FMS.
