OFFER EDUCATION MEETING VIDEOS IS NOW ACCESSIBLE FOR FREE!
 
Thanks to Scott Stevens, our OFFER website webmaster and tech Guru, OFFER has begun to make archived OFFER EDUCATION MEETING videos available on the OFFER website, www.offerutah.org.  We have started with four classic meetings from 2006.  You can view these videos at no charge as often as you like and at your own pace.  Go to www.offerutah.org, click on the EDUCATION MEETINGS button, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on:  "To view some of our previously recorded Education Meetings, click here".  To go there right now just click on the following link: http://www.offerutah.org/Offeredseminars.htm

California Legislature Considers resolution to create a Fibromyalgia Legislative Task Force
A resolution was proposed in the California State legislature on March 3rd to create a  Fibromyalgia Legislative Task Force.  The resolution begins "This measure would establish a Legislative Task Force on Fibromyalgia, consisting of specified members, to establish a public information and outreach campaign, work with other state and local agencies to promote fibromyalgia education and training programs for physicians and other health professionals, collaborate with a broad group of stakeholders, review current state policies and practices concerning treatment of fibromyalgia, develop a State Fibromyalgia Strategic Plan to be submitted to the Governor and the Legislature by September 1, 2009, and hold a Fibromyalgia Summit during the 2009–10 Regular Session of the Legislature."  A link to the complete text of the Resolution can be viewed at the following link:

A New Study for Fibromyalgia Patients 
Dr. Lucinda Bateman is actively seeking Fibromyalgia patients, ages 18-70, to participate in clinical research studies of three investigational drugs for the treatment of Fibromyalgia.  If you are interested, call Dr. Bateman’s office (801-359-7400) and talk to Ali Allen, RN, research coordinator, or others on the research team, to learn more about the drug studies currently underway.  Qualified participants receive study-related physician visits, lab evaluations, and the investigational medication at no cost.
