CURRENT PATIENT STUDIES
New Chronic Illness Research
Study
Taralyn Clark is a graduate student at
BYU. The purpose of this study is to
examine family relationships where one
parent suffers from chronic illness as
well as study the role leisure plays in
families. Your participation would
provide important insights that would
help scholars and practitioners
developing programs for families who
have a family member with chronic
illness. Families who participate in
this research need to have two parents
living at home, one of whom has been
diagnosed with a chronic illness that
includes chronic pain, requires daily
management, and limits normal activity
and routine. Also asking that the adult
with the illness has been ill for 6
months to ten years. Additionally, at
least one adolescent child (aged 12-18
years) needs to be living at home and
will to participate in the research.
Due to confidentiality laws, the leader
of your support group cannot give me
your contact information. This means you
need to contact Taralyn! If your family
meets the criteria and you are willing
to learn more about what your
participation in this study would mean,
please contact Taralyn Clark at
taralynclark@gmail.com of (208)
