FIBROMYALGIA RESEARCH STUDIES UPDATE
Dr. Lucinda Bateman is working with Radient Research on an exciting new research study for FM treatment.  Eight patients were accepted into the growth hormone study sponsored by Pfizer.  This will be a 2 week study.

Dr. Bateman has also been accepted to participate in another research study of the drug pregabalin.  Developed by Pfizer, pregabalin has been studied in extensive clinical programs worldwide. The company has completed pivotal studies to support the filing of a New Drug Application for pregabalin for the treatment of neuropathic pain and generalized anxiety disorder and as an add-on therapy for epilepsy.  Pregabalin has shown to provide improvement of pain, sleep, and fatigue levels in patients with fibromyalgia.  Enrollment for this local study will begin in September. Call Radient Research at 801-325-1000 for more information about this study.
