The Organization for
Fatigue and Fibromyalgia Education and Research (OFFER)
is a Utah-based, charitable,
501(c)(3), non-profit organization devoted to eradicating Chronic
Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia by spearheading
research, education, and advocacy for individuals who suffer
from these debilitating illnesses.
OFFER
was organized to raise awareness of chronic fatigue syndrome
(CFS) and fibromyalgia (FMS), to provide patients and
professionals with information and advocacy, and to
support research into
the causes and treatment of CFS and
FMS.
OFFER's goal is to educate patients, healthcare providers, third party
claim payers, and the general public about chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia through the use of written
and recorded materials, conferences, personal communication, monthly education meetings, and
the Internet.
OFFER's
research efforts include identifying,
funding and supporting promising studies on the causes and
treatments of chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia.
OFFER
relies solely on donations from individuals, corporations,
foundations, clubs, and organizations to fund this research.
OFFER seeks to network and improve community resources for patients with CFS and FM.
Our goal is to identify healthcare providers, social workers, and other professionals who are informed, compassionate, qualified, knowledgeable, and affordable when it comes to recognizing and
treating chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia.
